At KKO, many have carried the responsibility of creating beautiful images for our clients and original pieces. Most times, the work is very good, but rarely do you find someone whose work always great. This explains why Konstantin is on the team. His work is beyond valuable, his dedication is unmatched and his unique eye has captured incredible moments for about 3 years now at KKO Productions. This is Konstantin Frolov.
Who are you? What’s your name and where are you from?
Konstantin (Kostya) Frolov. I’m from Russia, Moscow.
I have 2 degrees: I have a Masters degree in Film and TV and a degree in management.
What’s your position at KKO?
My main role at KKO is a cinematographer (DoP), video live-stream specialist, special effects coordinator.
Why did you decide to get into this line of work?
I love motion pictures. I’ve been filming and videotaping since I joined our school TV channel team back in 1999. And never stopped since then. There are two projects I filmed in the early stages of my career that made me decide what’s the most enjoyable work in my life. The first one called “Chudaki” (the closest analog of Jackass show). It is a small VHS series where people perform stunts. The second one called “Invisible monsters” comedy horror short film.
How did you become a member of this team?
I met Kelby on one of the sets in 2017. And since then I’m a proud crew member of KKO pro.
What are you most looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to giving the best of the best.
What is one project you felt resonated with you the most?
There is one project that has changed my life forever it’s a documentary called “Nothing can stop us”. Story of a band that made a world tour without even having an agent. Film and music in the life of singer/songwriter and filmmaker Marvin Glover. You will be inspired and surprised by people’s beliefs, motivations, and how they made it!
What do you hope to see in the future of KKO?
There is no hope at all. We have to move to grow.
Are you inspired by anyone’s work?
Every day I’m looking for inspiration from everywhere. Books, photos, movies, video games, my friend’s stories.
One day, who do you hope to work with?
I really hope that one day in the future I will be able to work with the same people I’m with now.
